It was in connection with the police checking the vehicle that the whole thing escalated into a car chase.
An attempt to stop was made – but then the 16-year-old drove onto a minor road where pedestrians were exposed to great danger, according to the police.
As many children live in the area, the police decided to impound the car, which was successful in a curve when the speed was low. The A-tractor ended up in the ditch, but no one was injured.
Since the vehicle has been manipulated to be able to drive at significantly higher speeds than what is permitted for an A-tractor – 30 kilometers per hour – it is to be considered a passenger car.
The police impounded the car and the boy was handed over to guardians.
