In terms of skiing, the Ruka World Cup starts on “Finland’s super day”. Usually it has been on Saturday, but now the traditional normal distances are raced before the sprints.
In the women’s 10 km race, Finland is represented by Anni Alakoski, Jasmi Joensuu, Anne Kyllönen, Johanna Matintalo, Kerttu Niskanen and Krista Pärmäkoski.
Oona Kettunen, Nora Kytäjä, Jasmin Kähärä, Katri Lylynperä, Vilma Nissinen and Elsa Torvinen ski in the national team.
In the men’s 10 km, the national team includes Ristomatti Hakola, Iivo Niskanen, Arsi Ruuskanen, Markus Vuorela and Lauri Vuorinen, and the national team includes Ville Ahonen, Juuso Haarala, Emil Liekari, Remi Lindholm, Lauri Mannila, Alexander Ståhlberg and Juuso Varis.
