The Riksdag parties clash on Friday over the rising prices of food, electricity and much else that puts pressure on household finances.

The special debate is held at the request of the Social Democrats, and the party’s economic policy spokesperson Mikael Damberg launched a fierce attack on the government.

– The government is not taking the situation seriously. The government has no plan, says Mikael Damberg.

He spoke of single mothers who cannot put food on the table despite a perfectly normal salary, and pensioners who, after working a whole professional life, cannot afford to visit their grandchildren. The pressure on aid organizations such as Stadsmissionen and Save the Children is currently very great, according to Damberg.

From the government, Minister of Finance Elisabeth Svantesson (M) will participate.
