Does your baby keep chewing on his teething ring all day long? If you bought it in a Carrefour store, be very careful because this product is recalled throughout France. The cause is a resistance defect which could cause a risk of suffocation.
The alert was launched by the Rappel Conso website on Monday September 18, 2023. Tex Baby brand teething rings sold at Carrefour present a choking risk and are therefore recalled throughout France.
A teething ring poses a choking hazard
Sold at Carrefour, the teething rings affected by the recall have the following information on the label:

Stop using this product and return it to the store for a refund
These teething rings have been recalled because the hook of the ring has a lack of resistance which could lead to the presence of small detachable elements. These are then likely to be ingested by users, potentially causing a risk of choking. If the airways are completely blocked, there is a risk of respiratory arrest, which can cause severe brain damage.
Thus, the Tex Baby brand encourages its consumers to no longer use the product and to return it to the Carrefour point of sale. The brand also certifies that in order to compensate for this error, the refund of the product is planned, until Friday December 15, 2023.
