Elon Musk thinks working from home is harmful. Now a survey shows that many employees are much more productive at home.
Elon Musk is not a big fan of working from home, as he regularly states. In one interview, he explained that he finds working from home not only harmful, but also morally reprehensible, and is trying to get people in his companies to return to the office.
But that doesn’t stop companies from continuing to let employees work from home. And a survey by Zoom now shows that working from home can have a positive effect on employees.
More productive in the home office and more AI in the workplace
Of all the employees Zoom surveyed, 82% of remote workers say they feel more connected to their teams and managers, compared to just 72% of people who work in the office.
The vast majority (83%) say they feel more productive in hybrid work environments than in the office or on-site.
However, most respondents agreed that their company’s technology and remote work tools need improvement, with 75% saying their current setup is inadequate.
What else matters? Almost all IT managers confirm that they use AI in their company (94%). 84% of them say that this has had a positive impact on productivity.
However, almost two-thirds (64%) of employees said that generative AI in particular helps them to complete their tasks. But this also means that many employees are not yet fully convinced of the technology that is coming our way.
More about home office: The boss of an IT company forced an employee to return to the office. But the employee took revenge on his boss by using a legal trick: the employee is forced into the office by the boss – the employee gives in and has his moment of triumph a short time later
