The Ambulance Mitélée France (AMF) is a humanitarian project which brings together more than 45 associations including the NGO Pharmaciens Sans Frontières. In September 2022, a Ukrainian ambulance in the Kharkiv region was targeted by Russia. A whole symbol for this operation which makes it possible not to forget the atrocities of this war which has lasted for three years. For two days, this unexpected vehicle stopped on the market square in Sucy-en-Brie in the Paris suburbs.
Patrick Angelvy is secretary general of theNGO Pharmacists without borders in Val-de-Marne. “”Slava Oukraïni “means” glory to theUkraine ! “, And people answer” heroïam slava! “or” heroes, glory! “, And it shows a little their resistance and their courage ».
Resist and above all not forget them
It is the message carried by this ambulance that crisscrosses Europe. For Patrick Angelvy it is a precious witness: ” When you see a hole, two ball holes, three ball impacts. You can always say that these are lost bullets. There, when there are, I believe, 402, we can still understand the way in which Mr. Putin reads the Geneva Convention, which indicates that we do not pull on ambulances. And at the same time, this ambulance is the symbol of resistance and the symbol of Ukrainian courage. I mean that this ambulance does not speak, and yet it challenges us. This ambulance is a real silent cry that she throws us to challenge us on the drama that these people live. Less than two hours on a home, it is not acceptable, and it allows us, by showing what is happening, to be able to raise funds to buy more ambulances ».

A spectacle that leaves no one indifferent
On the market square, some stop, observe, and find it difficult to find the words: ” When I saw her and I was able to touch the impacts of the bullets, it’s quite frightening. You see, it is an unfortunate experience, but essential for people who live far from war and atrocities ».
A few meters from the ambulance, a small group of Ukrainians, collect money to finance new emergency vehicles. Elisabeth is one of the 50 families who were hosted in Sucy-en-Brie at the very beginning of the war. Today, she is studying at the Sorbonne. “” My apartment is bombed, so I can’t go back, and for the moment, I’m in FranceI am at university and I stay here. I learn the language, and I see my future too in France ».
