Finland will face Canada next.
The Finnish women’s national ice hockey team played their second match at the EHT tournament in Tampere. The female lions lost in the first match to the United States with a score of 0–4.
Friday’s game against Switzerland was scoreless until midway through the second period. Finland scored the lead goal I’m Havana. After that, the numbers broke when they managed to score even before the third period Viivi Vainikka and Emilia Vesa.
In the final round, the readings were even better Sofiana Sundelin. The win was thus recorded for Finland cleanly 4–0. Playing in the North American college league Emilia Kyrkko avoided a clean sheet.
With the win, Finland will next face Canada, who won their own group with a clean game. Finland meets Canada on Saturday at 19:00. Sweden will face the United States in the semi-finals.
The final and bronze match of the tournament will be played on Sunday.
