It is expected that – without Holterhues – nine politicians from the province of Utrecht will be in the Senate. With 17 seats, the BBB is the largest in the Senate, three of which come from the province: Bart Kroon (Amerongen), Elly van Wijk (Snelrewaard) and Pim Walenkamp (Utrecht).
Edith Schippers (Baarn) is the party leader for the VVD. Paul Rosenmöller (Driebergen) is the party leader for the combined party of GroenLinks and PvdA. Saskia Kluit (Utrecht) will also be in the Senate on behalf of GroenLinks.
Peter Schalk (Veenendaal) is the only member of the Senate for the SGP and Karin van Bijsterveld (Soest) and Ruben Baumgarten (Amersfoort) are the numbers two and three of JA21.
