“On Monday I noticed they were starting to show up as little blisters and I thought ‘oh this face looks bad like a rash,’ and on Tuesday I realized it wasn’t normal and was something else,” she says. Wesley Wallace, who lives in Houston, Texas, USA, began to describe his experiences with these sentences.
HOW DID THE MONKELOOM GROW THE VIRUS?
Wallace says he’s been to different bars in the area as well as an event in the city of Austin, but he doesn’t know exactly how he came into contact with the virus.
“I had fever, chills, sweating at night, and also headaches, all the symptoms you’ve read about monkeypox, every single one of them,” added Wallace.
Seeing that the lesions on his face were starting to grow, he decided to go to the doctor. On examination he was told that he might have contracted Monkey Flower and was tested. The result of the test was positive.
“EVEN THE WIND BLASTS ME”
Expressing that the virus is very ugly, Wallace stated that the process is very painful. He said that he could not touch the wounds on his face, that he could not sleep because his face touched the pillow, and that it even hurt from the wind when he went out into the open air. “I have a sore inside my mouth and it hurts with every sip and every bite,” Wallace said. But what’s worse is that this disease is spreading all over my body,” he said.
