During the past few weeks, TV4 has put six programs on hold. The reason for this is, among other things, that there are fewer viewers of linear TV and are making a new investment in TV4 Play instead.
In connection with this, they will make a big cut in staff – due to high costs. But there doesn’t seem to be any budget problem for the TV4 program The Traitors.
TV4’s budget for the program The Traitors
Early in the season we got to see Lucas Simonsson participate in the new program The Traitors. He was the participant who unfortunately had to leave first. After his appearance, we got to see him react to the show along with fellow YouTubers JLC.
In the video, Lucas Simonsson drops yummy details about the program. Namely that the production is incredibly expensive. In the program, the celebrities compete for half a million in the prize pool, but it doesn’t stop there.

During each episode of The Traitors, we get to see the participants in the room where everything happens. Here, both the faithful and the traitors risk leaving the program.
The room is full of atmospheric props and must have been built before the recording of the program. But how much did it cost to build? Now Lucas Simonsson reveals the enormous sum TV4 has spent.
— Ok, these are rumours, but I damn well believe it’s true. But I think this table cost four… all this loose, tables and the surrounding cost 4 million kroner, says Lucas.
Yes, you can see, not bad!
