Samsung and Qualcomm made a deal. The upcoming Galaxy S23 series, its official name is “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 GalaxyA special processor named ” will be used.
The changed Snapdragon logo will be used in the relevant promotional images. Some promotional images shared were leaked just days before the official launch on February 1. Be prepared to see this kind of thing on many billboards and on the internet starting next week.
Samsung wants to enter the market with a special processor and a special advertising program in order to get ahead of Apple, which it has been competing with for years. The Samsung side seems to be quite excited for the event, which will take place on February 1.
The chipset will certainly be exclusive to Samsung at launch, and perhaps forever, though details on the deal with Qualcomm are unclear for now. This “Snapdragon for Galaxy” event is expected to spread to the next year with the Galaxy S24 generation. After that, the Samsung MX can jump ship and start using the in-house chipset.
