While the countdown continues for the stable version of Android 13, Google has released the second developer preview version of Android 13. Explaining this with a blog post, Google also announced a new development for notifications in Android 13.
ANDROID 13 WILL NEED TO ASK YOUR PERMISSION
Judging by Google’s blog post, it seems like asking permission for apps on Android 13 will be a requirement. “Apps targeting Android 13 will now need to request notification permission from the user before sending notifications,” said Dave Burke, VP of Engineering.
A similar application notification permission feature has been used by iOS users for years.
WHEN WILL ANDROID 13 RELEASE?
The first preview of Android 13 was released in February. It seems that there are still months before the stable version of Android 13 is released.
