– It has happened in a stairwell in an apartment building. There has been some form of dispute between two men, the injured and the perpetrator, says Viktor Dicksved, officer at the regional command center at the police in the MItt region.
The plaintiff was taken by ambulance to hospital, with injuries to the face and head. His condition is considered serious but not life-threatening.
The suspect is said to have tried to attack another person, a woman in her 55s.
– She is a partner of the injured. She is the one who calls in to us, and in connection with her calling then he tries to chase after her, says Dicksved.
The alarm came at 22 o’clock on Saturday night and the police then sent several patrols to the house where the suspect, a man in his 50s, was arrested.
– He’s still in the stairwell, they’re drunk – everyone. He’s slipping into something, it’s probably blood from the plaintiff. So he slips and strikes, and faints. So the intervention goes very calmly because he is lying on the floor.
The detainee should not have had to go to the hospital. He is now suspected of aggravated assault and attempted aggravated assault.
