Watch Dogs is special and it shows
What makes Watch Dogs so special? Watch Dogs and especially the second part of the game series are considered Ubisoft’s attempt to build on the success of GTA 5. The second part in particular offers many open-world activities such as spraying graffiti, e-kart racing and gang fights like back in GTA San Andreas.
The game world itself also seems lively, colorful and, above all, sunny, at least in the second part. Rainy London, on the other hand, has different accents.
A real special feature of Watch Dogs is the multiplayer. Uninvited guests often appear in our world, acting as either friendly or hostile hackers, thereby making the world appear even more alive.
While you are walking freely through the world, it can happen that a message suddenly appears that you have been hacked. Now it’s time to find the hacker before he can steal your own data and disappear with it.
Things get interesting when the enemy hacker makes the search more difficult through hacks, for example by sabotaging other cars and causing traffic chaos. When we tested the second part of the series recently, we had no problems finding other hackers.
What other multiplayer modes are there? That depends somewhat on the part of the series. The hacking functions are in every part. There are also PvP battles with weapons in Watch Dogs. Some of the missions from the campaign can even be played with a friend, although there is no real co-op mode in which you can do everything with two people.
Why is the game good for GTA fans? Watch Dogs is easy to play with friends and is worth it for anyone who is tired of waiting for GTA 6. The lively open world and the refreshing content and ideas that Ubisoft has packed into the game series entertain beyond the campaigns and the multiplayer is also impressive. The necessary chaos in the open world is also present.
