After 2 years of restrictions due to the COVID pandemic, the cinema is regaining its colors, the spectators too, and we are not going to lie to each other, the cinema news is dense, even ultra busy at the end of spring. summer blockbusters are jostling at the gate and among these, a certain Le Pacte des Loups is making a comeback in dark rooms. It is indeed tomorrow, Friday June 10, that it will be possible to review the most popular film by Christophe Gans, more than 20 years after its release, which had generated more than 5 million admissions in France. Become a cult in the eyes of many viewers, this film which mixes genres and is based on a French legend from home, has distinguished itself by its narration, its colorful characters (Mani in particular, embodied by Mak Dacascos), his fights, some raw images as well and of course this atypical staging by Christophe Gans. Precisely, the French director will be present for each of the screenings of this 4K restoration, since a video in his presence has been produced in order to explain this choice to revive one of the too rare French blockbusters.
Fortunately, Christophe Gans will be back behind the camera soon, since he is preparing two films: a new Silent Hill and a film adaptation of Project Zero (Fatal Frame in the US), this Japanese horror video game where young women fight evil with a simple camera. We have the opportunity to talk with Christophe Gans for 1 hour and we left with incredible and exclusive anecdotes. The video is coming tomorrow on Jeuxactu!
