A record number of migrants tried to cross the English

More than 880 migrants attempted to cross the English Channel on Tuesday.

At least 882 migrants tried to cross the English Channel by boat on Tuesday, the British government said.

This is an unprecedented situation.

Never before has such a large group attempted to cross the Channel in one day.

The authorities counted on Tuesday that around 15 boats tried to land.

In total, at least 12,313 migrants have attempted the English Channel this year.

That is 18 percent more than in the same period last year. At that time there were 10,472 immigrants.

A total of 29,437 people arrived in Britain across the English Channel last year.

In the record year 2022, 45,774 people arrived across the English Channel throughout the year.

There will be an election in Britain soon

Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Britain on July 4. Immigration is one of the main themes of the elections.

Prime minister Rishi Sunak ran through the initiative to send migrants to Rwanda in April.

However, there have been challenges in the implementation of the plan.

If the conservatives do poorly in the elections, Sunak’s Rwanda law may fail.

Keir Starmer’s led by the Labor Party has promised to reject Sunak’s Rwanda plan if it wins the election.
