A large mass grave has been unearthed in the village of Vynohradne outside the city of Mariupol, local government officials say, according to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

According to the mayor, at least 15,000 older people and the chronically ill could die in Mariupol. There is a catastrophic shortage of drinking water, food and medicine in the besieged city.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereštšuk said in a telegram it is possible that a humanitarian corridor in Mariupol could be agreed and civilians evacuated on Saturday.

The United States convened the Allies in Ramstein

The United States has invited some 40 allies to discuss Ukraine’s security next week.

According to the Pentagon of the U.S. Department of Defense, defense ministers and military leaders from already 20 invited countries have announced their participation in the meeting in Germany.
