Rasmus Dahlin is the world’s best young player.
At least that’s according to The Athletic, which ranked the best 154 players under the age of 23.
There, the Swedish star takes his place at the top of the list, ahead of several big names.
Rasmus Dahlin has taken great strides in his hockey career and has grown into a very important player in his Buffalo Sabres. The 22-year-old guard has accounted for 48 points in 42 games so far this season, putting him in the top tier of guard scoring. Dahlin who was drafted as number one by the Sabers in 2018 after emerging as a 16-year-old in Frölunda’s organization.
Ranked as the best
And Dahlin’s success has not exactly gone unnoticed, and his enormous efforts have been widely praised. Now the journalist has Corey Pronman, who is an NHL expert at The Athletic, put together a ranking of the world’s 154 best young players. Who is at the top of the list? Rasmus Dahlin, of course.

The justification from Pronman regarding Dahlin’s placement on the list reads:
“He is the definition of a player who decides matches. The first round pick from 2018 has emerged as one of the best backs and as a player in the absolute top tier of the league”.

Several Swedes with
In addition to Rasmus Dahlin, several other Swedes are relatively high up on the list. In place number 19 we find Lucas Raymondeveryday in the Detroit Red Wings. Simon Edvinssonalso in Detroit, is found in 35th place and then there are also Philip Brobergthe Edmonton Oilers, at 41st.
