In Dragon’s Dogma 2, an inconspicuous weapon has more potential than you might think. A player has now figured out how to reveal hidden areas on the map.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has more surprises in store than expected. The RPG game world is huge, and it will take even longer for players to find all the secrets the role-playing game has to offer.
While most players are exploring the vast landscapes of Dragon’s Dogma 2, one user has made a surprising discovery to unlock secret areas on the map.
Use catapults to reveal secret areas
What did he find? The observant player Peppo_LS used catapults to unlock hidden areas on the map:
I just found out that you can use catapults to unlock new parts of the map in Dragon’s Dogma 2!, Peppo_LS tells the community on X.
How does he do that? He showed the method in a short clip on X. He loads the catapult with a large rock and then fires it into the distance. When the stone hits the mountain, a previously hidden cave becomes visible to him.
You can see the clip of how he does the whole thing here:
The catapults are actually intended to fight gigantic monsters. But the player found an alternative use for the weapons. Instead of just using them in combat, they can also be used to unlock previously undiscovered areas of the map.
What initially appears to be a purely offensive weapon now turns out to be the key to new discoveries.
What do other players say about the discovery? Some players expressed surprise at how this discovery came to light. Many simply walked past the inconspicuous weapons. We have summarized a few comments for you under the post on X:
So it’s worth keeping your eyes open and experimenting. Who knows what other secrets are waiting to be discovered?
