Born in 1941, consecrated three times British Designer of the Year and named Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2005, she has spanned generations thanks to her extravagant creations, influenced by the grunge and punk movements. A little over a year after the disappearance of Vivienne Westwood, which occurred on December 29, 2022, 200 items of clothing, jewelry and accessories from her personal wardrobe are about to be sold at auction. The lots selected by Andreas Kronthaler, her husband, retrace the major stages that marked the life of the most stylish activist on the planet. For example, it will be possible to acquire several silhouettes imagined for its fall-winter 1983-1984 fashion show. Inspired by the world of witchcraft, the creations of the collection Witches will be accompanied by pieces of the season Dressed to Scale from fall-winter 1998-1999, as well as some of the show Propaganda, presented for fall-winter 2005-2006.
