The police are currently investigating how the woman ended up in the safari area. The park authorities have not commented on the incident.
– At this point, we don’t know if the victim made a mistake or if there was an ambiguity in the signs, an anonymous police source told Le Parisien.
The woman was rescued when park rangers heard her screams. He was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Thoiry is located about 40 kilometers west of Paris.
