A new survival shooter on Steam lets you travel back in time to fight zombies with tanks

A new survival shooter on Steam combines time travel with zombies, transforming you into a fearless resistance fighter with a war machine.

What kind of game is this? The Front (PC) is a survival game by Samar Studio, scheduled for release on Steam in Early Access and planning to start a closed beta soon.

The Front playfully combines typical survival gameplay such as building and crafting with shooter elements. In addition to various firearms and associated attachments, there are also war vehicles such as helicopters, amphibious vehicles and tanks.

You then use a variety of weapons to fight against zombies, imperial forces, exiles, villains and rebels. But other players could also meet you on the battlefield, because online PvP is mentioned on the survival shooter’s Steam page.

A tyrannical empire turns humans into zombies

What is the game about? In The Front you play as a resistance fighter traveling back in time to stop the rise of a tyrannical empire.

The ruling empire has conquered the world with a technology that has turned humans into those mindless zombies that you take up arms against.

A battle awaits that will determine the fate of mankind.

How can you participate in the beta? In order to participate in The Front Closed Beta, you must fill out a survey created through Google Forms. You can find the link in a post on Steam.

In the survey, the developers want to know from you what kind of game you have played how many hours in the past six months, whether you prefer PvE or PvP and what graphics card you have.

You should also provide an email address and your Discord username, which will then inform you about participating in the beta if the developers have chosen you for the test.

Since it is also a closed beta, the developers point out that you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement. You are therefore not allowed to talk about what you see or experience in the beta.

However, a non-disclosure agreement as part of a closed test phase is not unusual. The development studio Digital Extremes is also demanding an NDA for the closed beta for Wayfinder.
