A new MMORPG shooter for PS5, Xbox and Steam gives hope for future shooting and looting

Yesterday, March 20, the new MMORPG shooter Pioner showed fresh gameplay on the Future Games Show: In the trailer “Collapse”, fans see the action for almost 2 minutes, which it should expect in the shooter for the release in 2025. Pioner has been announced for Steam, but should also appear for PS5 and Xbox.

What do we see in the trailer? The new trailer for Pioner shows a dark look in a backdrop that is reminiscent of a Soviet Union after the end of the world. The game is said to offer an open world that plays on a bleak, post-apocalyptic island. The developers promise a map of around 50 square kilometers and hidden dungeons.

The character shoots through the area with a variety of rustic weapons and robustly-looking equipment: For it, monsters, some of which seem from a horror film, could come directly from a science fiction film.

As you know it from Borderlands, the story is apparently told about the audio recording of crowding figures.

What do we know about Pioner? The MMORPG with survival elements has been under development since 2021 and is scheduled to appear on Steam in 2025. A release for the PS5 and Xbox consoles is planned for “later”.

On the website for Pioner you can see that work has long been done on the game. That and the gameplay in the trailer is exactly what you have always wanted from the last The Division with Zombies, the game The Day,:

  • A monster gallery shows us zombies, fast zombies, hell dogs, nasty spider animals, worms and a lot of mutated stuff.
  • An impressive weapon gallery provides us with weapons such as the Polish AR-16, the German machine gun USMG (“Germans know how to make weapons and the machine gun proves it!”) Or the AV Sapphire-M, which is reminiscent of an AK47. The “Dragoon” sniper rifle, apparently a variant of the Dragunov can be found in the Arsenal.
