A new lawsuit in the NHL harassment scandal another

Another lawsuit has been filed against the former video coach of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Another player accuses the former video coach of the NHL hockey club Chicago Blackhawks Brad Aldrich about sexual harassment and sexual violence.

He also accuses the Blackhawks of covering it up.

The player has filed a lawsuit regarding the events of the 2009–2010 season. The lawsuit alleges that Aldrich harassed, threatened and abused a player who was not in the lineup during the playoffs. He also describes Aldrich as a “sexual predator”.

The player claims in the lawsuit that the video coach offered him and one woman his bedroom to have sex. While they were having sex, the video coach snuck into the room and tried to join in, according to the lawsuit.

According to the lawsuit, Aldrich also sent harassing and inappropriate text messages to the player. On one occasion, he hugged a player from behind and rubbed himself against his buttocks and back.

The player claims in the lawsuit that the Blackhawks acted indifferently and/or recklessly when he reported the matter to the coaching staff.

According to the lawsuit, the player still suffers from serious psychological problems. He also incurs expenses for medical and psychological treatments.

Earlier in 2021 Kyle Beach sued the Blackhawks for sexual harassment of two players in 2010. The lawsuit between Beach and the Blackhawks was settled.

The NHL fined Chicago two million euros after an independent investigative report was published. Coached Chicago at the time of abuse Joel Quenneville resigned as coach of the Florida Panthers in October 2021 when the report became public.
