A new game on Steam is perfect for you if you want to relax

In an upcoming game on Steam, you can befriend different dinosaurs and run a farm together.

What kind of game is this? Paleo Pines is a farming game like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing that will be released on September 26, 2023 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

In Paleo Pines you live on the island of the same name, where dinosaurs live peacefully with humans. One of those dinos is “Lucky”, a Parasaurolophus you’ve known since she hatched from an egg.

Other Parasaurolophus actually live on Paleo Pines, but they have disappeared. Together you and Lucky go in search of their fellow dinosaurs and meet different types of dinosaurs that you can also make friends with.

You can then set up a farm with your new dinosaur friends and devote yourself fully to farming. Meanwhile, the dinosaurs themselves will help you with the daily tasks of a farmer, such as digging and cultivating fields or watering plants.

If you want to take a look at the gameplay of Paleo Pines, we include a gameplay trailer here:

What does the trailer show? The gameplay trailer shows us a small town with NPCs living in it, as well as various dinosaurs roaming the island’s wilderness. We also see the game’s character editor.

Shortly after, the trailer shows the actual gameplay of Paleo Piles, showcasing how a player uses different dinos to create a farm, cook food, and feed free-roaming dinos to befriend them.

On top of that, the trailer gives us a look at the NPC vendors and quests that Paleo Pines has to offer.

All in all, Paleo Pines wants to be a cozy game in which you can relax and do gardening safely – a game principle that dinosaur fans rarely experience. The primeval creatures in games like ARK: Survival Evoled or Exoprimal often want to get at you.

New co-op shooter with angry dinos is my surprise of the year, but it has a big catch
