A new game made it into the top 10 on Steam, convinced over 140,000 players at the same time from criminal life

Everyone is celebrating a new game on Steam, in which one rises from a small henchman to the big drug baron with criminal energy.

What kind of game is that? Schedule I is an open world simulation game, in which one slips into the role of a petty criminal that tries to climb up to the large drug baron. In the end you should have your own drug empire with houses, employees and companies.

Danger: Schedule I is a fictional simulation. Drug abuse is dangerous and can have serious consequences. If you need help, you will find support at www.kmdd.de or at the addiction hotline 01806 313031 (subject to a fee).

The game simulates the life of a criminal through and through. In addition to the production of different drugs, they must also be delivered and sold. With the income, new equipment can then be bought to produce more goods.

Later in the game, employees can be completely automated in the game and entire production and distribution channels build up. However, the drug business is dangerous, both the police and enemy cartels become aware of your illegal machinations with growing size and try to put your craft or take on your business.

Between crazy and awesome

How does the game arrive? Since the game was released on March 24, 2025, there has been a maximum number of over 140,000 (via SteamdB), which is exceptionally strong for the simulation genre. At Steam, it is 2nd place in the global topsellers directly behind Counter-Strike 2.

The simulation has also penetrated the top 10 in the top player and holds 9th place in the last 24-hour (via SteamdB). The number of players from Schedule I seems to grow every day, and only on March 26 had the game overtaken the new Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Despite the high number of players, the game can probably convince almost everyone. With an almost perfect rating of 98 % with over 9,400 Steam ratings, the crime simulator is at the level of Portal 2 and Stardew Valley, even though the developers of TVGS have never published a game on Steam before.

The fact that there are so few negative reviews could be due to the free demo version that everyone can try on Steam before buying the simulation. With a standard price of € 19.50, the early access version also seems to be well received by the players.

Simulations often live from depicting a life that is very different from what you are used to. Schedule I probably manages both from the setting and the gameplay, as the ratings show. Another simulation, on the other hand, wants to rely on as many vehicles as possible: New construction game on Steam promises complex traffic simulation with over 100,000 vehicles that does not force your CPU into its knees
