A new action RPG on Steam offers a post-apocalypse like in Fallout and you can play it next month

The post -apocalypse is still a popular travel destination in video games. In addition to Fallout and Stalker, there are also smaller games on Steam who want to explore the setting. One of them is Chernobylite 2, which has finally announced the release date for the early access.

What is Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone for a game? In 2021, a survival RPG from the Polish Studio The Farm 51 was released with Chernobylite. In the post-apocalyptic game, a destroyed open world was explored that is not extinct despite a disaster. The surviving beings are not always friendly to you.

After the successful first part, the 2nd part was announced last year, but first without a release date. But you have revealed that now. As early as March 6, 2025, you can plunge into the post -apocalypse again, at least in the early access on Steam. This can be worthwhile for fans of Fallout and Stalker.

A dangerous open world full of mutants

What can you expect from the game? In the game you are located in the Chernobyl zone, which is threatened by the Chernobylite. This is an element that spreads in living beings and the surrounding area. The survivors want to try to prevent the spread.

As in Fallout, the game wants to offer you a varied character development that should allow several play styles. For example, you should be able to act as a big power man or as a tactical sniper. There should be several weapons and skills.

In addition, there should be bases that you can not only expand, but can also use weapons for crafting and improving weapons. There are also comrades and factions that can help you.

The great enemy in the world are large and dangerous mutants that you have to combat with your combat skills in the campaign. In the fight itself, you should be able to switch between 3rd and first-person perspective.

On the official Steam page it is also mentioned that there will probably be online co-op missions.

As insider-gaming.com reports, Chernobylite 2 was able to secure almost $ 170,000 in his Kickstarter campaign. The goal of the campaign was $ 98,678.

The predecessor was also quite well received by the players. At Steam he currently has 81 % positive reviews at 11,065 reviews. Fans of the post-apocalypse could also like this game: a survival game lets you see the post-apocalyptic earth from a completely new perspective
