Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel sends you to hell – the Nordic version. You can currently try out on Steam whether the combination of Diablo 4 and Vampire Survivors plays well.
What kind of game is this? Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hell is a roguelike action game in which you fight your way out of Helheim, the realm of the dead in Norse mythology.
As part of the Steam Next Fest 2024, the developers released a free demo for Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, which includes, among other things, an additional class. Due to the large number of people, it is still playable, as the developers have revealed on Steam – but only for a limited time.

How does Hordes of Hel play? You look at your character at a slight angle from above and move through the map, being attacked by hordes of monsters. Your character automatically targets nearby enemies, so you don’t have to manually click on each enemy.
At the beginning the game throws easy enemies like spiders at your feet, but with every round you survive, the hordes of enemies become larger and more dangerous. Bosses also spawn in later waves. Before you make your way through Helheim, choose one of three different classes:
Anyone who is familiar with games like Vampire Survivors, which is very popular on Steam, will quickly find their way around here. In terms of gameplay, Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is very similar. Visually and with its different classes, the game is more reminiscent of Diablo 4.
