As usual, many horror films will be released in October, which are intended to provide a lot of horror during the spooky season. A sequel is supposed to be pretty violent, because apparently the beginning is already causing viewers to flee.
What film is it about? Terrifier 3 will be released in Germany on October 31st. The Terrifier series has become a minor hit because it was able to generate good revenue with a small budget. The second part cost just under $800,000 but grossed over $15 million (via Box Office Mojo).
But the Terrifier series is not for people with a weak stomach. The director comes from the special effects department and conjured up really brutal scenes on the screen in the two predecessors, which, however, received a positive response from fans due to the lack of CGI. Terrifier 1 and 2 are classic slashers with the look of old VHS films (the second part even received a limited VHS release). The films are just pretty explicit when it comes to depicting violence and should only be watched by people who can tolerate that sort of thing.
The third part will not be squeamish with explicit scenes either, and this is already shown by early reports in which the audience flees. If you are unsure whether you can watch films, sites like Does the Dog Die can also help.

The hall was even prepared
What happened during initial screenings? The third part also promises explicit violence, and the first screening shows that. As LADbible reports, at the first screening of the film in Great Britain, several audience members left the hall – even during the first scene of the film.
According to Terrifier 3’s PR team, 11 people left the hall and one even vomited. Games Radar even reports that there were extra vomit bags in the hall.
Damien Leone, the film’s director, said this about the opening scene:
Mark my words. I guarantee you that the first five minutes of this film will be very controversial. But that’s not even the big killing scene. That’s why I thought I’d just have to do this film alone because it’s too crazy. If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in the second installment was extreme, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Of course, this comes from the director who wants to promote the film, but if you look at Terrifer 1 and especially Terrifier 2, then you can assume that the latest part will again play with the limits of tolerability.
The big star of the films is the villain Art, who is up to mischief dressed as a horror clown. He is played by David Howard Thornton, who revealed in an interview on YouTube that one scene was too much even for him. He also almost vomited after filming.
If you want to watch the films, you should only do so if you have a strong stomach, because even horror experts could reach their limits.
