Despite the critical failure, despite the poor sales, despite the dissolution of Luminous Productions studios within Square Enix, Forspoken will be entitled to additional content. Square Enix has just let us know that a narrative DLC will complete the adventure of Frey Holland. Called “In Tanta We Trust”, it will reveal more about the fall of the empire of Athia, since the events will take place 25 years before the events of Forspoken. The story tells us that to eradicate the Corruption from Athia once and for all, Frey finds himself following an unknown voice. This leads her to a place that mysteriously transports her to the defeat of the Rheddig, the legendary battle that devastated Athia and drove the Tanntas to madness. Accompanied by Tannta Cinta and a new set of magical powers, Frey must uncover the truth and save Athia once again – and get herself out of harm’s way in the process.
This new story will allow you to get to know new characters such as Tannta Cinta, and will also offer a new range of powers and combat techniques. It will also be possible to discover new places of Athia, especially in the heights never explored and thus browse vertiginous environments. The release of Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust is expected for May 26, 2023, knowing that characters who have purchased the Digital Deluxe edition will have access to this expansion in advance, from May 23, 2023.
