In his words, Civil War focuses less on the underside of this political conflict which divides the United States than on the way in which we produce information. By adopting the point of view of journalists, the film pays homage to both their search for truth and their work of transmitting raw and neutral information that questions the power of the image and the dehumanization that ‘results in the absolute quest for the “money shot” or the “quote” at all costs. The interpretations carry the film, Kirsten Dunst in the lead in the role of a veteran photojournalist in the midst of an existential crisis opposite Cailee Spaeny, who narrowly bluffs.

Synopsis – A frantic race through a fractured America which, in the near future, is more on the razor’s edge than ever, from the point of view of journalists.
