In New Zealand, a man drove a car into two police officers early on New Year’s Day in the city of Nelson. One of the policemen was killed and the other was seriously injured.

The police officers were patrolling the parking lot on foot when a motorist ran over them. After that, the man turned his car around and drove towards the police car.

The third police officer in the police car suffered a concussion in the collision. In addition, two bystanders were injured in the attack.

The police arrested the 32-year-old driver on suspicion of several crimes, including murder and attempted murder.

The person who died was the first female police officer in New Zealand’s history to die in the line of duty as a result of a crime.
