A member of the National Rally sanctioned by his party

The National Rally decided Friday afternoon to pronounce a reprimand against one of its new deputies, Joris Hébrard. This elected representative of Vaucluse was wrong to have inaugurated, last week, a mosque partly financed by Turkey, in the commune of Pontet, in the south.

The photo was widely shared, commented on and criticized by members of Reconquête!, Eric Zemmour’s party! Joris Hébrard, all smiles posing in front of a huge Turkish flag on the sidelines of the inauguration of the cultural and religious center of Pontet, the brand new mosque of a Franco-Turkish association. Wednesday at the Assembly, Marine Le Pen is questioned about this initiative:

It’s a personal initiative of this member that I disagree…very clearly. »

Should this deputy be punished? Visibly a little embarrassed by the question, the boss of the RN group tries a touch of humor: “ You know, it’s a bit like with the tax authorities, there’s room for error, but it’s once. »

But “ it didn’t make Jordan Bardella laugh at all “Says a close friend of the party president. After hearing Joris Hébrard, the executive office, of which Marine Le Pen is a part, pronounces a simple reprimand against the elected official. And broadcasts a simple press release to recall the party line: “ The intransigent struggle against all forms of communitarianism and the rejection of foreign influences. But no picture, no sound. The RN is trying to bury a very embarrassing affair as quickly as possible.
