Nothing at all, Jadot regrets nothing
Deputy, such was his post-presidential future 2022. A constituency in Paris, and therefore easily winnable, had even been “reserved” for him by EELV during the presidential campaign. It was “the plan” of Jadot, but the Nupes passed by there… During the negotiations, the promised constituency disappears. A secret agreement between LFI and environmentalists who no longer wanted Jadot as a bridgehead. He could have fought but he preferred to throw in the towel. “With what was happening in Ukraine, I could not make a common platform with Jean-Luc Mélenchon. So I did not claim anything even if I could have …”, confides the MEP who gave himself a new objective: to become a senator for Paris. “There is always a future for those who think of the future”, said Mitterrand.
Japan interested in Le Pen
Who said that Marine Le Pen was not included in the concerts of nations? The former National Rally candidate for the presidential election still has as much difficulty as in the past in convincing heads of state to stand by her side. But it is about to be the subject of a book in Japan. The journalist, Homma Keiichi, even met the deputy of Pas-de-Calais in the National Assembly, in March, through the intermediary of the former number 2 of the FN Bruno Gollnisch, a great lover of the archipelago. “He questioned Marine Le Pen a lot about his cats to find out if it was the main element that had allowed him to harmonize his image”, assures the person concerned, who also played the role of translator during the meeting. Marine Le Pen has not published any work, neither personal nor programmatic, since Pour que vive la France (2012, Grancher).
2027: Wauquiez believes in him a lot
Laurent Wauquiez repeats it like a slogan: “In 2027, it will be Marine Le Pen or me.” But the putative candidate of the Republicans (LR) in the next presidential election does not really believe in the chances of the RN deputy. Not so much because of his personal image as his supposed inability to govern. “She is not scary, she is not the devil and can even be popular, confides the president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. But the French know that she would be a problem in power. They know that putting a Le Pen in power will set the country on fire and sword. There is finally a doubt about his exercise of power.” Enough to make the former minister (very) confident. “I am totally optimistic that I will win the presidential election in 2027,” he insists.
A Le Pen family reunion… Without Marines
At the Le Pens, each family reunion is always, in its own way, a small political event.
