The story of Don’t hang up! is set in the early 2000s and takes you to the vibrant streets of New York. There we meet Stu Shepard (Colin Farrell), an agent who promises a lot and delivers little. He struts around recklessly and thinks that the world only revolves around him.

Stu is the kind of protagonist you definitely don’t want to spend any more time with. However, as soon as he was in a phone booth by one unknown caller is threatened, the film still manages to make us fear for his life. However, this is just the beginning of an incredibly exciting chamber play.

The plot of Don’t hang up! takes place almost exclusively in or around the telephone booth in which Stu finds himself against his will. In nervous shots Schumacher revolves around the agent in distress who suddenly begins to question his life decisions.

Schumacher doesn’t waste time with unnecessary explanations and doesn’t stretch out the film’s scenes unnecessarily. Instead, he sits up maximum thrill and strings one stirring highlight after another. If the film were just a minute longer, you wouldn’t be able to stand it because of the tension.
