The Norwegian Monster Slayer appears today on Netflix and it promises perfect, if simplistic, genre fun.

Why is horror fantasy worth it?
Everything you know about trolls (they’re big, gross, and live mostly in Norway?) puts troll into the Godzilla mold. This means: Panic, crisis meetings, hunting, attempts to destroy a task force drawn like a woodcut, failure, new crisis meeting and so on. You know it. But that doesn’t have to bother you at all. Even the trailer is dominated by visually stunning shots that allow a clear view of the monster – an important quality that the MonsterVerse films in particular do not always adhere to.
