It was on Wednesday that the woman was arrested in connection with the police being alerted to a villa in Borås. A 65-year-old man was found dead in the villa. The woman, who was in the house, also had injuries and was taken to hospital.
The cause of death is unclear and an autopsy will be performed on Monday. But there is information indicating that the man had been dead for several weeks, according to the prosecutor.
– It is obvious that the man had been deceased for a long time, says Nina Friman Björk.
Reasonably suspect
The woman has been interviewed by the police and denies any crime.
What has she said in questioning?
– I can’t go into that, but I have requested the woman as reasonably suspected of murder, says the prosecutor.
Arrest proceedings are expected to be held in Borås district court during Friday afternoon.
