A man in his 50s is sentenced to three years in prison for raping a sleeping woman during a work party, writes Gefle Dagblad.
The incident occurred in Sandviken municipality in mid-September. The woman had gone to sleep in the coffee room. At 2 a.m., she woke up to a man at the party yelling and interrupting another man who had his fingers in her abdomen.
The man denies any crime and believes that it all happened voluntarily. According to him, the woman must have been awake and gave him a sexual invitation.
In addition to the prison sentence, the man must also pay damages to the woman of SEK 215,000.
