A man in his 20s is detained on suspicion of the Rågsved murder

A man in his 20s has been detained on suspicion of a murder and two attempted murders in Rågsved in southern Stockholm.

The police were alerted last Thursday night about a shooting. Three people with gunshot wounds were found at a barbecue kiosk. One of them, also a man in his 20s, died from his injuries.

Five people were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the shooting drama. Four of them were released on Friday after the suspicions were weakened.

The fifth was detained on Sunday on probable cause on suspicion of murder, two counts of attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences. The man denies the accusations, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The shooting at the barbecue kiosk is the second with a fatal outcome in a short time in Rågsved. In April, a man in his 20s was found shot to death by an underpass in a residential area. During the winter’s extensive spiral of violence in the Stockholm area, an explosion was also carried out in the suburbs.
