The collision happened at 9.30 pm on road 944. The police confirm the death and that the next of kin have been notified.
There were three people in the car who escaped uninjured, but the man in the moped car was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital in Linköping, where he later died of his injuries.
The police have drawn up a traffic negligence report and both the moped and the car have been seized for a technical examination.
– But the investigation must show who is at fault. We have no suspects at the moment, says police spokesperson Mariana Persson.
