The parliamentarian has not yet been formally charged, according to a source close to the case. This affirms that he is detained in the premises of the Central Intelligence and Documentation (Cid), the former General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

According to the same source, Aimé Hydevert Mouagni, who is a member of the Perspectives and Realities Club (CPR) and very close to power, has already been questioned twice for “ flagrance ”, without further details. His home was searched by the police and within the week, he will be presented to the public prosecutor.

In a telephone exchange authenticated by the police on social networks, we hear Aimé Hydevert Mouagni sharply criticizing the management of the country, in particular embezzlement of public funds, non-payment of emoluments due to parliamentarians. He also points out the insecurity in the country’s large cities, clearly pointing to the Minister of the Interior and the security services: according to him, the latter are not able to eradicate this insecurity.

The National Assembly could study the lifting of his parliamentary immunity for a possible judgment in the days to come.
