A lunatic took down Diablo 4’s fierce 12-player boss alone

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Diablo 4 has let millions of players get a taste of the game with its open beta. Of course, some players immediately set about exhausting the builds up to level 25 and tackling difficult challenges with them. The hardest part of the beta was probably the world boss Ashava – but even the boss could be managed alone.

The new action RPG Diablo 4 has already made many features from the full game available for testing with its open beta. The release is scheduled for June 6th, 2023.

The big MMO world bosses were already at the start, or at least one of them – Ashava. Actually, up to 12 players should be beating on the cattle for 15 minutes and even a full troop is no guarantee of victory.

Diablo YouTuber Wudijo approached the fight a little differently. With his hunter created in hardcore mode, he takes down the huge boss all by himself. How he did it and which build was used, we show you here.

Even the actually weak druids manage the boss, if not solo:

how did he do that? Ashava is a very physical and direct boss. Two things are necessary to pull off a kill like this:

  • Enough damage in the build
  • Knowledge of attack patterns
  • In total, the world boss appeared eight times over the two beta weekends and there are tons of videos showing Ashava’s behavior.

Once you have internalized the attack pattern, you can predict the attacks well. Along with a mobile class like the hunter, it was relatively easy to dodge all attacks.

In addition, the build needs enough damage. Due to the high drop rates of Legendarys, however, it was easy for dedicated players to put together heavy builds for their hunters over the two weekends. Below we show you the skills from the wudijo build.

If you want to watch the fight, here is the English video of wudijo fighting Ashava:

Incidentally, the performance of the well-known Diablo expert was already overshadowed over the weekend. Another Hunter lays down Ashava in under 4 minutes. You can find the video here: via YouTube.

Which build did wudjo use? For a brief overview of the build used, here are the chosen skills at level 25:

  • heart seeker
  • rapid fire
  • Weapon Mastery
  • smoke grenade
  • Dark Veil
  • shadow infusion
  • Venom Infusion
  • There are also suitable legendaries to add further damage potential to the skills.

What do players say about this? The comments on YouTube under wudijo’s video are impressed. User “KEN” says: “That was incredible”. “Relentless Nights” also has nothing but praise: “Dude, you’re a machine”.

Some people, however, can only react with gallows humor. User “Tobias K.” says: “That was probably faster than a druid can kill a normal boss”. Because the druids are considered bad in the beta: Thousands of players are disappointed with the druid in Diablo 4: too fat and too weak.
