A Loto winner testifies incognito on television, but he is really too easy to unmask

A Loto winner testifies incognito on television but he is

The testimony of a poorly disguised Loto winner on television made the Web laugh this week. Internet users were not fooled by his failed camouflage.

“40,000 euros per month doing nothing”. You may have seen this headline this week. In any case, this is Alain’s new life since he won the 15 million euro jackpot in the Loto a few months ago. Guest of the show “Sept à Huit” on TF1 last Sunday, this former automobile industry worker agreed to testify about his new lifestyle… but on condition of remaining anonymous. It must be said that Alain did not tell anyone about his good fortune, not even his son!

However, since his stroke of luck, he does not deprive himself and flaunts his new purchasing power. He left his job, bought a house for 2 million euros, 5 cars including an Aston Martin and several luxury watches. During his interview, this new millionaire also indicated that he no longer did his shopping “only in small local shops” and that he now regularly went to restaurants, “going upmarket”. He also treats himself to more trips and weekends in palaces. This radical life change should not go unnoticed for long, despite his attempt to go incognito on TV. A rather clumsy attempt indeed.

Because in order not to be recognized, Alain appeared on screen disguised with a wig and a false mustache, in addition to having his voice modified. A camouflage which did not convince viewers at all. On social networks, many people made fun of this crude disguise. “Alain really believes that his son is not going to screw him with this hairpiece and the fake mustache?”, joked a user on Twitter. “The voice, the intonations, everything in fact. And the guy pretends he wants to stay incognito? The joke,” mocked another.

Many believe that despite his precautions, the lucky winner has already been unmasked by those close to him, and in particular his son to whom he has not revealed his fortune. The jealousy of seeing someone take advantage of such luck doesn’t help, obviously, but Alain didn’t really make sure he was appreciated. Despite this dream life, he also admitted that he has not yet made any donations to charities, obviously opening himself up to other criticism. “I have to think about it…”, he replied on this subject.

If his testimony was intended to keep his new fortune a secret, it was rather unsuccessful. With his implausible disguise which amused the Twittersphere and his lifestyle which does not go unnoticed, the days of the anonymous multi-millionaire seem numbered. Next time, he will have to find a better ploy to cover his tracks! Or try to respect the adage: to live happily, let’s live hidden.
