The publishing sector seems to be a new center of attraction for some young people in Haiti. Why are they getting into this industry? What are their prospects? What obstacles do these young publishers face? This edition of Koze Kilti tries to answer all these questions thanks to a panel made up of three young editors.
Johane Joseph, Blondy Wolf Leblanc dit Gabynho and Romy Jean-François are among those young people who have embarked on the publishing sector in Haiti. The former has created Édition Cérébrale, whose primary mission is to publish fun books for children and adults alike. For his part, Gabynho has set up the Repérage editions which go in search of young feathers all over the country. It’s the same for Romy Jean-François with Rasin Éditions, except that the latter fundamentally relies on total and balanced bilingualism between Creole and French.
