Peter Pan’s fairy Tinker Bell as well as Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame were included as heroines with princess status for a while (similar to the actually non-royal Mulan) before it was decided that they didn’t fit into the “princess mythology” enough. Tarzan’s Jane Porter and Giselle from Cursed as well Vanellope from Ralph it’s enough were considered, but didn’t make it into the top league of Disney princesses either.

Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon, the daughter of a ruler in the realm of Kumandra, is described by Disney as a warrior princess. She has not yet been officially added to the Disney Princess canon by the studio. However, your chances are better than those of Mirabel from Encanto, who has no royal connections whatsoever, even though she was initially considered a Latina princess. Asha from Disney’s anniversary film Wish is also not of royal blood, even though she is in the king’s service.
