There were several people who called in about the ongoing fire outside Nyhammar in Ludvika municipality.
– The weather is clear and you could see smoke from a long distance away, says the emergency manager Niklas Hammarlund.
According to information from both the police and emergency services, the buildings must have been burning for a while before emergency personnel arrived on the scene.
Located the owner
There are no reports of injuries.
– The buildings will be allowed to burn down as I understand it. We have located the property owner and will try to get in touch, says Anders Dahlman, press spokesperson at the police.
During the evening, the rescue service focused on saving adjacent, smaller houses.
– It has been allowed to burn under controlled conditions. During the night, we will have surveillance on site, says Niklas Hammarlund.
The alarm was received by SOS at 8 pm on Tuesday. It is unclear what caused the fire.
