A hero in Marvel Rivals is doing more damage than it is to, even eliminates tanks in seconds

In Marvel Rivals, a possible bug at Moon Knight’s ultimate ability is currently causing a stir. Instead of the proposed 75 damage, it obviously causes twice as much.

What heroes are there?

  • Moon Knight is classified as a “duelist” in Marvel Rivals, a team-based PvP shooter with well-known Marvel characters. It has quick attacks and is supposed to hand out damage.
  • Its ultimate ability calls up several claws that hit opponents in a certain area and cause damage.
  • However, there are currently reports from players on Reddit that this ability does more damage than it should. That makes the game unbalanced.

    More damage than planned

What exactly is the problem? One player found that Moon Knight’s ultimate ability does twice as much damage as intended. According to the description of the developers, the ability should cause 75 damage per hit and have a radius of action of 5 meters (via Marvelrivals).

The player tested the actual damage to the ability and found that the ability instead caused 150 damage per hit. This happens because each claw apparently generates two separate damage fields:

  • One with the expected radius of 5 meters
  • And one with an extended range of up to 10 meters that causes additional damage.
  • The tests showed that opponents that are within the actual area of activity immediately suffer the double damage, while further distant opponents can initially take less damage, but can still be switched off faster than expected.

This makes the ability particularly strong and can even eliminate resistant characters such as Groot, so -called tanks, in seconds (via Reddit).

    Bug or feature?

Is it a bug? The Marvel Rivals players are unsure whether this is a mistake or whether the ability is deliberately working in this way, but the functionality was not communicated in an understandable way.

It can be assumed that it is a bug and the ability does more damage than it should. So far, however, there has been no official statement from Netease.

What does the community say? The community on Reddit is not very surprised. Many understand through the user’s test results, which is why they could die on the radius of the Ultimate so quickly:

  • Quote 1: “I always asked myself how an alleged 75 managed to shred a tank so quickly.”
  • Quote 2: “That explains a lot because I die immediately when I’m not a tank.”
  • Quote 3: “I guess your skepticism and research very much. Thanks! That explains so much frustration for so many people. I hope that will be remedied or balanced quickly. “
  • In any case, the players hope for an early reaction from the developers to restore the balance in the game.

Moon Knight not only has a usable Ultimate that is apparently stronger than planned. The hero is also suitable for players who are not good in shooters.
