It was during Friday that the accident happened in the Kiruna mine. A man died after an accident.
Now LKAB presents additional information about the accident and according to their information, a hatch has moved and crushed the man who was working in a crusher. He at the next stage fell down a scaffold.
Although colleagues were nearby and quickly on the scene, the man’s life could not be saved.
From the report to the Work Environment Authority, it appears that the man was taken to Kiruna hospital but later declared dead after resuscitation attempts.
The police, LKAB and the Work Environment Agency continue to investigate the accident.
