A handsome victory Emil Ruusuvuori knocked out the second ranked

Emil Ruusuvuori achieved one of the most impressive victories of his career when he defeated the Russian Karen Hatshanov in the ATP tournament in Hong Kong.

Emil Ruusuvuori stretched to a sweet victory at the ATP 250 tennis tournament in Hong Kong. Rusuvuori defeated the Russian by Karen Hatshanov 7–6 (7–2), 2–6, 6–2 in the second round of the tournament. The match lasted two and a half hours.

Ranked second in the tournament, Hatshanov is ranked 15th in the world, Ruusuvuori is ranked 69th. Rusuvuori got its first victory over Hatshanov. The previous two meetings between the duo had ended with the Russian winning.

– The match was really challenging because the opponent is a very good player. I’ve lost to him a couple of times before and he’s just really hard to beat. I am really happy, Ruusuvuori said in the field interview.

Ruusuvuori started his ATP season on Monday by defeating France in the opening round match By Benjamin Bonz in three installments.

Rusuvuori advanced to the quarterfinals of the Hong Kong tournament. Ruusuvuori, playing in its opening tournament of the season, will face either Italy in the quarterfinals by Lorenzo Muset or a Russian player Pavel Kotov.
