What is All the Light We Do Not See about? The series takes place in Europe in the 1940s. The focus is on the lives of two teenagers.
The blind teenager Marie-Laure lives in Paris. Her father Daniel strives to offer his daughter a safe and beautiful life.
The second main character is Werner from Germany. Due to his high affinity for radio and radio technology, he was sent to a renowned military school.
But then the Second World War breaks out. Nazis invade France. Marie-Laure has to escape and becomes part of the resistance with her radio show.
Werner is given the task of tracking down the person responsible behind the embassies – but he feels a special connection to Marie-Laure.
The miniseries is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name by Anthony Doerr.
Who is playing? In addition to Mark Ruffalo, who many also know as Marvel hero Hulk, Dark actors Louis Hofman and Hugh Laurie (House) are also at the start.
